Is a women/ non-binary folks / femmes of color collective, in which they highlight the importance of having a plant-based lifestyle while also intersecting race, gender identity, class, & sexuality; being brown, Latinx, non-binary, women, queer, genderqueer, coming from a working class background, and having other marginalized identities. They are passionate about spreading awareness of the lack of resources to healthier options in the hood, animal liberation & environmental justice. This is a platform where womxn/folks have shared their families recipes, their own recipes, and have talked about why being vegan has connected them to their ancestral roots.
The Building Black Bed Stuy Committee was formed in response to stagnant growth when it comes to accumulating black wealth and gentrification. The mission is to protect, preserve, & liberate the black community within Bed Stuy and beyond. The focus is to help provide financial aid to existing businesses and organizations within black communities.
To Establish A Black Owned + Black Led Urban Farm accessible to all BIPOC folks to learn, grow, take root, in Los Angeles, California.
Amber’s work is to guide communities near & far - especially low income & communities of color, to not just connect with earth but showcase pathways for careers working with the earth. Her GoFundMe is to help acquire land, however the ownership is more than possession of land, it's something that Amber could leave future lineage, its a way to to create safe space outside of the city to connect with Momma Earth. It is a way to bring community together to heal through regenerating soils and growing local foods. This would also be an opportunity for Amber to find a way to give land access back to the original indigenous people of the future.
Black Mamas Matter Alliance is a Black women-led cross-sectoral alliance. They center Black mamas to advocate, drive research, build power, and shift culture for Black maternal health, rights, and justice.
G.L.I.T.S approaches the health & rights crises faced by transgender sex workers holistically using harm reduction, human rights principles, economic & social justice, along with a commitment to empowerment & pride in finding solutions from within the community.
The National Bail Out collective is a Black-led and Black-centered collective of abolitionist organizers, lawyers and activists building a community-based movement to support and end systems of pretrial detention and ultimately mass incarceration.
